For a warm and enriching experience, join us for Heimablídni. This unique dining experience invites you to enjoy a traditional three-course meal in the cosy surroundings of a Faroese farmhouse. The dishes are homemade, with the main ingredients sourced from Faroese nature and prepared using time-honored methods that reflect our deep-rooted culinary traditions.
A true highlight is tasting skerpikjøt, our famous fermented sheep meat—often called the Faroese answer to the world-renowned hams of Italy and Spain. Its deep, complex flavors are developed through a traditional curing process that has been passed down for centuries, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast.
As you savor these authentic flavors, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking nature and local hospitality, offering a true taste of Faroese culture and tradition.
The day concludes with the host feeding the rams, who are grazing nearby the farmhouse. We´ll sharing fascinating stories about their selection as breeders and their significance to the flock. You can watch this captivating event up close, creating a memorable and engaging finale to your visit at our farm.
Menu / Dinner
Starter : Cold cuts from sheep meet, served the local way on rye bread.
Main course : Tender lamb steak, potatoes and vegetables. Faroese brewed bear or soda is included.
Dessert : Homebaked warm rhubarb pie or waffles with whiped cream and jam, alongside a good cup of tea/coffe.
